THE FAMILY VISUAL CONCEPT

The FAMILY VISUAL was created as a means of providing a symbolic/visual connection between members of a Family. Each African Family has a physical and a spiritual connection to its members.

The FAMILY VISUAL is an attempt to provide each member with an historical and a cultural frame of reference to Family. The power of the FAMILY VISUAL lies in its consecration by the Family and its ability to provide a visual and spiritual link to its members over great physical  distances.

The FAMILY VISUAL is meant as an offering of praise to the African Family and to acknowledge Family and Ancestor worship as an integral element of African spiritual culture. Ancestor worship is a method of honoring those who have laid the foundation in this life. According to African tradition and philosophy, recognition of ancestral spirits --- in conjunction with service to the Creator --- is vital to our mortal growth and development and our spiritual enlightenment.
